<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; margin: 0cm 18.6pt 0pt 15pt;"><span style="font-family: Times New Roman;"><span style="color: #000000; font-size: 16pt;"><span style="mso-tab-count: 1;">      </span>This was made by Chechik of Leeds, a firm renowned for its craftsmen and traditional manufacturing methods, they ceased trading around 1960.</span></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; margin: 0cm 18.6pt 0pt 15pt;"><span style="color: #000000; font-size: 16pt;"><span style="font-family: Times New Roman;"><span style="mso-tab-count: 1;">      </span>The suite compromises a table 96" long 38" wide, 6 chairs and 2 carvers. A beautifully shaped and carved sideboard 72" x 21" has a shaped front, 2 centre drawers and side cupboards, and there is a serving table 42" x 20". The whole suite is set on carved paw feet and decorated with carving of the highest quality. The burr and figured walnut veneers can only be described as exquisite.</span></span></p>

<p>An oak panelled blanket chest from the Halifax/Bradford area C.1670 The 3 front panels well carved with lozenges and cross-hatched trilobes, carved spandrels below and marquetry border above. A fine piece with good colour. An almost identical chest in Chinnery Fig 4:-127</p>
 
Oak lowboy
<p>The 3 plank top with clover leaf corners, 3 drawers with mahogany crossbanding and original handles and shaped legs on pad feet. Very attractive.</p>
 
Queen Anne walnut lowboy.
<p>An exceptional Queen Anne walnut lowboy. The top has beautifully figured wood and inlay while the three drawers are cross-banded and inlaid and retain their original handles. The shaped and turned legs flair out at the bottom to form the feet.</p>
 
Oak and yew wood chest C.1680
<p>Oak and yew wood chest C.1680 3-panelled front with outer panels in yew and inner in oak, interspaced with straight line raised panels. The two drawers at the bottom similarly decorated. There is a candle box inside with two small drawers underneath. The top has the original hooks. The initials I.S are carved on the front top rail. Excellent colour.</p>
